“If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair.”

― Shirley Chisholm

Some say the “Me Too” movement will define us. I don’t pretend to know if they are right. All I know is that for the first time in human history, women are being heard. Not in hushed whispers or tight-lipped moans, rather, a ululation of millions.

Shirley, we are here. Chair-scraped floors led us to you.

Nevertheless, we are not one voice. We are diverse and opinionated. We are strong, yet frightened and lonely in our togetherness.

Because, now we understand what the men would not tell us: The secret is not that you must know what to do next, it is, to never break the line.
